An antibacterial result belongs to a particular article, resin system, test method and regulatory setting. We do not extend a result obtained from one specimen to every product made from a similar polymer.

During development we check where the active component is located, whether the surface is accessible in use, and how processing, cleaning and service time may affect the result. The evidence required for a household article may also differ from that for food contact or medical use.

State the market and claim at the outset

Provide the finished article, resin, colour, processing temperature, target organisms, intended market and proposed wording. We will review whether the project is within our material scope and which test evidence is appropriate before preparing samples.
