What we confirm before a halogen-free flame-retardant trial

The base resin, part thickness, target test, colour and processing route are confirmed before we select a flame-retardant system. A formulation for natural PP at one thickness may not be suitable for a dark product, a filled compound or a thinner specimen.

We also ask about mechanical requirements and the allowable processing window. Flame performance, impact, surface quality and extrusion stability can pull a formulation in different directions, so the trial must preserve the properties the finished part still needs.
